Abstract

In recent years, higher education institutions (HEIs) have increasingly embraced digital technology to optimize admissions, enhance student recruitment through digital marketing, and facilitate online learning. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly accelerated this shift, reshaping education through digital transformation (DT) in HEI. This study examines the relationships between digital transformation leadership, digital agility, and the execution of smart campus models. It delineates the principal problems and opportunities HEIs encounter in the adoption of new technology. This study presents a comprehensive literature analysis that outlines the critical elements of efficient smart management, including resource management, institutional collaboration, and enhancement of digital competencies among educators. These findings emphasize the importance of stakeholders adopting systematic procedures while implementing digital transformation strategies to improve operational efficiency and stakeholder involvement. Addressing issues such as digital culture, leadership dedication, and resource allocation is critical for higher education institutions to meet rising academic requirements and remain competitive in a global setting. This report is a valuable resource for Indonesian HEIs seeking to navigate changes and improve educational quality in the digital era.
